Situated in a workshop of the second half of 1800, the dyeing mill, that belongs to the imatex group, embodies a new concept, with its research activity in the field of natural, environment-friendly dyes for the dyeing of linen, cotton, wool, polyester and all modern mixed fibres used for the production of jacquard fabrics. The company involvement in environmental protection has led to the creation of constructed wetland for the recovery and the elimination of industrial wastewater.
Warping is one of the most important steps in the production of fabrics, as the warp represents the ground of a fabric and also gives it its texture. Warps can be made of several kinds of fibres, both natural and synthetic.
Imatex owns advanced technologies and warpers, ensuring top manufacturing efficiency both in terms of quality and quantity.
Imatex weaves all fabrics at its premises, based in nibionno, in the district of lecco, a very well-known textile area in the north of italy. Thanks to the quality of its products and swift service, imatex has become one of the leading textile companies in the area.
The weft is the second “building block” of a fabric. At imatex it is manufactured from materials stored in a completely automated warehouse, operating 24 hours a day to supply the weaving rooms. Weaving is carried out in separate departments equipped with jacquard and dobby looms, for a diversified production to satisfy all market requirements.
Finishing is the final production process of fabric. It includes all treatments used to give the fabrics their characteristics of softness, flame-resistance, waterproofing etc.
The chemical processes involved are conforming to oeko-test regulations.
The final and accurate quality control tests performed before releasing the fabrics for shipment, are a very important part of the production process and a further confirmation of imatex leading position in the textile field.
